The Wall Street Journal released their weekly bestsellers list for books October 9, 2008. In the category of fiction, “Brisingr” by Christopher Paolini remained #1 for another week in a row. “The Story of Edgar Sawtelle” by David Wroblewski dropped to #3 from #2 the week of October 2, 2008, as Nicholas Sparks’ “The Lucky One” entered the #2 slot.

For non-fiction books, “The Last Lecture” dropped from the top position, making way for “The Snowball: Warren Buffett and the Business of Life” by author Alice Schroeder.

The Wall Street Journal’s bestseller’s list reflects U.S. sales of hardcover books during the week ended last Saturday at over 2,500 Barnes & Noble, B. Dalton, Bookland, Books-a-Million, Books & Co., Bookstar, Bookstop, Borders, Brentano’s, Coles, Coopersmith, Doubleday, Scribners and Waldenbooks stores, as well as sales from online retailers Amazon.com and barnesandnoble.com.
